Why do people automaticially assume that becuase children are with their parents that means that they’re safe?

While I personally don’t know, a few of them seem to visit this blog.

    Oh! I see.

How often do you get threatened with lawsuits from supposedly “protective” parents?

Suprisingly few. However, I do get a lot of e-mails that insist that the mother (always the mother) had a good reason for abducting and that is why they are in hiding (if it’s not a resolved case) or that will all come out in court (if the case is resolved.)

I’ve never actually seen either happen, mind you.
