Vital statistics: White female. Born on September 5, 1995. Brown hair, brown eyes. Was nine at the time. She speaks English and limited Italian and is a dual American and Italian citizen.

Circumstances: She was abducted along with her brother Giovanni by their non-custodial father, Gennaro Villa. Photos and vital statistics for him are not available. They were spending visitation time with him in Italy, and on the above date Gennaro told their mother, Laura Sweeney, that their passports had been lost. When Sweeney traveled to Italy to reclaim the children, she was thrown out of Gennaro's house and threatened with violence. Her eldest daughter managed to escape and return to the US. In July 2010, Giovanni was found safe in Italy after retrieving his passport from the US Embassy. Carmen was with him but was not allowed to obtain hers. They are still believed to be in Fiuggi and with their father.
