Circumstances: Sneha was taken to the island of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Africa, by her mother, Harsha Pierce. Photos and vital statistics for her are not available. Harsha is a citizen of the country. Her father, Justin Pierce, appeared in court in the US to challenge the mother's bid for custody. He petitioned under the Hague Treaty for custody to be determined in the US. Maurititus is not a signer of the treaty, and ruled Sneha should stay with her mother. Her mother alleges her husband was violent, an allegation he denies. Custody in the US was awarded to the father, so she is still listed as a missing person.
