Kelvin Caldeira Birotte

Last seen in Richmond, Texas on July 18, 2006

Vital statistics: Black male. Born on August 29, 2005. Brown hair, brown eyes. He may use the alias first name "Kevin." Was eleven months at the time.

Circumstances: He was abducted by his non-custodial mother, Hilma Aparecida Caldeira. Photos and vital statistics for her are not available. She took Kelvin to Brazil for what was supposed to be a three month trip to care for her sick brother. While there she filed for citizenship and residency for Kelvin, as Brazil only requires a child born of a Brazilian parent to be in the country three months for citizenship. His parents had met in Las Vegas two years earlier; they were still married at the time of Kelvin's disappearance but were experiencing marital difficulties. His father applied for his return under the Hague Treaty. He saw him once in 2007 but not since then. Brazil has ordered Kelvin's return to the United States, but his mother is currently in hiding while she files an appeal.

If you have any information as to Kelvin's whereabouts, please contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4665. Any information received can be kept confidential.
