Both parents didn’t lose custody of all of their children for being fine upstanding citizens and going to church three times per week. If they had then it wouldn’t have taken nearly a decade to regain custody. I have a sneaking suspicion that either the eldest child was taken back to the parents against his will or decided he didn’t want to live with his grandparents any longer. The three younger children were more than likely very eager to flee with their grandparents after living with them for most of their lives. If those children wanted to go home to their beloved parents and are being held against their will by their grandparents, why didn’t they go with their eldest sibling or call the police to get rescued?
