A 1 month old baby spoke not only English but Spanish also? Right away, whomever created this report, has obviously lied!

We all know babies don’t speak yet in any language. Her father has not been forthcoming.

Interpol information comes from law enforcement, not parents.

If there is “post-abduction” information then the “abduction” itself has been solved and resolved although the child isn’t back in the United States, because the child has been located. Posters like these amount to exploitation, forum shopping, and misinformation after the parent and/or law enforcement verify the child’s whereabouts. Mother and child are in Mexico ,regardless of NC court orders they managed to get to Mexico in 2001. Okay so now Dad has to file his case for access and/or custody under the Hague or in Mexican courts and hopefully he gets to meet with his daughter in Mexico. Either way Mariah is no longer lost and needs to be removed from public eye.

It’s forum shopping to want custody to be decided in their home country?

What if the child has dual citizenship and is subject to the authority of two different courts regardless of birth place? The courts of other countries cannot be easily discredited. If a case is presented before a foreign court where the child and a parent are citizens then the battle for custody and residence must be fought there for what is in the best interests of the child, not the bickering parents. Sometimes it is discovered that neither parent is what is best for the child.

Interpol says she’s only a US citizen.

Any child of a Mexican Citizen is also Mexican. It’s called jus sanguinis aka “right of blood” and complicates a lot of custody cases. If there is a case in Mexican courts then for their purposes Mariah is equally a Mexican child and can’t just be deported back to the United States.
