Mary Nunes and Cynthia Pfenninger found safe

I have just received word from NCMEC that Mary Nunes and Cynthia Pfenninger have been found safe. I have seen several articles in Mary’s case indicating she returned to the United States with her stepfather, who was arrested. I have resolved their cases and modified the annniversary posts so there are no dead links. The new case on the site is that of Amina and Belel Kandil. this!

Mary has stated she views her stepfather as her only true father even going by his surname and pleaded for mercy for her mother, because she was desperate to live as a family with her mother, stepfather, and younger brother again. She was obviously happy and healthy under the care of her mother and stepfather. The New Hampshire courts back in 2004 were going to permit Dr.Kelley to retain primary custody and return to Colorado with Mary to live if she produced Mary for one final court ordered evaluation. I cannot understand why the flight to Central America took place. Okay so charges were not pressed against Dr.Nunes for the alleged abuse, but the courts were also going to allow Dr.Kelley to reside with Mary out of state away from the drama in New Hampshire and remain the primary caretaker. Why refuse the evaluation, skip the country, and risk Mary being torn away from the family permanently? Dr. Kelley, while a good and caring mother, sure didn’t think smart!

Well Rita, if you seriously believed your child was being abused and authorities used the video evidence you provided against you to accuse you of abuse and alienation, would you have faith in another court ordered evaluation? Did Dr.Nunes sexually abuse Mary? I don’t know, but something less than kosher was obviously going on and Dr.Kelley feared the blowback if her ex was cleared. If biological daddy is cleared of abusing the child then who remain as the prime suspects? Mommy and stepdaddy of course! The Kelleys didn’t want to stay anywhere within the jurisdiction and endure the unpredictable fallout of such weighty allegations.

I don’t believe that Mary Nunes was ever abused by her father. I believe that the mother and stepfather conspired to turn Mary against her father.
It sounds like Mary was coached to say that she was abused.
