Zoe Stewart found safe

I have just found an article that indicates Zoe Stewart has been found in Canada and has been reunited with her father. I wish them the best in adjusting. I have resolved her case and modified the anniversary post so there are no dead links. The new case on the site is that of Faye Alsadoon.

It’s horrible that Canada has now become a haven for parental kidnappers. Another child who’s mother kept her hidden in Canada was Sofia Hernandez who stayed hidden in Montreal. Just how Sofia and her mother stayed hidden for so long is beyond me but still. And then there was Rachel Maran who stayed hidden with her mother in St Catherines? When are people going to stop using Canada as a place that’s convinient to hide their kids?

I wouldn’t call it a haven – the ones who are caught are sent back. Kidnappers can hide in the US too. One memorable case I remember the mother made a lot of fuss in Mexico about the search for her sons, because dad was from there and everyone assumed they were there. They turned up in Pennsylvania.

Well, they’re able to stay hidden for so long that they’re not that noticible.
In Claudia Librett’s case she was hidden in St Catherines for three years before the police found her and her daughter. I believe she sought asylum here and didn’t get it.
Anatolia Hernandez took her daughter and ran. She was hidden with her daughter in Montreal for 11 years before they found her.
It concerns me that these children are taken from their other parents for whatever reason and then some of them seek asylum when they get caught.
none of these parents are sorry for what they did. They’re just sorry that they got caught.
