Isn’t this the little girl of the wealthy but unstable physician mother who was desperate to flee the United States, because she believed American government was microchipping children and allegedly had her daughter walking for hours on end in the jungles of Costa Rica? I remember that the father stated that when he and his recovery team arrived at the residence in Costa Rica, they found the stepfather and relatives, but mother and child were nowhere to be found and relatives claimed ignorance until the stakes were raised too high. Then mother and child appeared shortly after from out of the jungle and the child was handed over to the father without incident. To be honest I never quite believed this story and wondered why on Earth any responsible adult even the stepfather would think it was good idea to for an erratic and unstable person to take a child out into the godforsaken jungle of all places. I sincerely hope the mother has received psychological treatment and is no longer a danger to her own child.

I imagine that the new husband and his kin thought it was a swell idea for mother and child to go hide in the wilderness after they realized that they had been located and the jig was up, Emma! The child was brought back to the United States in relatively good condition, which is the most important thing, and if I am not mistaken her mother subsequently returned to the United States voluntarily to answer for her actions in court and be near her daughter again. With the matter resolved for nearly 7 years now I am certain that this whole thing is just a bad memory for all the parties involved and they have moved on.
